However, the side arms that support the black painted tubes which make up the side guides can be bent when a tougher pieces of wood push sideways. Doesn't effect the splitting, but is a bit irritating since you have to unbend them every now and then. This is a niggle which I might simply fix by welding stronger tubes later... View Less

Easily breaks 300-400mm ironbark and ghost gum logs that are several years old. But just be careful how you place them in the machine because if they are not straight then it will twist or get thrown out. So long as you follow the manual then it can easily break stuff that I couldn't with the hand tools no matter how hard or how often I hit it. I've got about 6 tons of old logs to break and I'm glad I got this little beauty, I just hope it lasts..... View Less
